Sardinia Rally 2014 Overall
Alessandro Botturi |
SRR2014, Alessandro Botturi, dazzling Seventh Star of the Sardinia Rally Race
|
San Teodoro, June 12. Special Edition! The seventh of the Sardinia Rally Race really is. In the small galaxy of the Great Rally, in fact, a new star is born (tremendous opportunity rhetoric!), Alessandro Botturi. At the third attempt the Giant Lumezzane won the Rally World Championship more difficult, requiring the authorities, so far unknown, the "dictator", and leaving stunned the elite of the World Cross-Country. Of course, the opponents have suffered the terrifying certainty with which Botturi won the Special Stages, Stages, and finally the race, and it is bound to be admired in front of the special talent that Botturi has demonstrated. But one thing is mature, and quite another to fall from the tree. This is the metaphor of the pilot talent that has turned into an excellent tactician and a "navigator" superfine thanks to the hard work which has gone into. If you add the physique du role, Botturi was champion of Rugby, and the successful experience of ten years of Enduro World is easy to understand how Botturi was able to pounce on his head on the third day and keep control of the race until the epilogue San Teodoro.
The "secret" of pressure exerted by Alessandro Botturi hell on opponents is also vital in choosing tactics. Never push beyond the red zone, prefer a high pace and constant focus on pure speed, and use with surgical precision instruments and the road book.
The eloquent synthesis of special aptitudes fielded by Botturi is detachment, never seen before in the history of the Sardinia Rally Race. Numbers from ... Africa. Marc Coma, who also has had its minor technical problems (road book, navigation equipment) and has allowed a certain space also to errors, is second with a delay of more than seven minutes from the Italian, and he consoles himself with the conquest the provisional leadership of the World.
The Podium seventh SRR is completed by two pilots Spanish, Catalan indeed. Marc Coma (KTM) and Gerard Farres (Gas Gas). The Champion of the Dakar says he was wrong too, and despite the breakup of tripmaster at the crucial moment of the chase to Botturi, of never being able to get into a good tune with the Race. Farres, by contrast, was able to "calibrate" the perfectly personal and important project of Fabrica, showing a high level of effectiveness and efficiency.
More unfortunate participation of Honda Pilots, who navigation errors have added little trouble in crucial moments of the race. Gonçalves, 4th and head in the beginning of the rally, has been slowed by the breaking of the front brake and half of Stage Marathon, Rodrigues was stopped by breaking the crown back against a rock, and Barreda, who also won two Special Stages , sold on the face of errors and a couple of falls, the last of which, strong, a hundred miles from San Teodoro.
The categories "embedded" in the Sardegna Rally Race reward Paolo Ceci, who won the ranking given to the Open category (motorcycles over 450cc), and Poland's Rafal Sonik, which has the success of the Quad.
Not enough striking victory in the World Botturi get two more successes sequential. The phenomenon of Lumezzane also won the Italian Championship Raid TT test, held on the arc of the last three days of the World Cup and, as the tournament is split only the Sardegna Rally Race, the Italian Championship 2014. Full!
1500 kilometers of route in total, 800 of the Special Stages Five Stages 9 selective sectors. A giant ring through places that enhance the beauty of the island. This is the Sardinia ... and then, all the best riders in the world, the official teams, a competitive tension and growing every day engrossing, the evolution of a throbbing Rally has become a significant point of this specialty ... This is ... Rally Race.

Alex Salvini : " A real shame because I was in the lead with two seconds ahead of Antonie Meo, when the last Test Cross I made a mistake in the fall and the bike slammed violently on his shoulder. The sheets have confirmed the fracture and once in Italy I decided to undergo the operation immediately to return soon in motion . The next events are Fabriano , in a week and the Grand Prix of Finland in less than a month. I want to thank all of the medical team , the guys on the team , sponsors and fans who were close to me and supported me through so many messages of encouragement. "
