In 2010 Speedbrain began to develop a version of the BMW G450X suited to the particular needs of a marathon rally in early 2011 and BMW celebrated with this bike back to the Dakar Rally. Already in the spring of 2011 Speedbrain engineers began to develop and build a new race bike for the rally: the Husqvarna TE449 RR by Speedbrain
Husqvarna brings its know-how in the field of development. Motorcycle and the heart of the Husqvarna TE 449 OPPORTUNAM BODY MODIFIED FOR USE IN RAID and it 'been improved for the Dakar 2013. After 2012, the team DAKR Speedbrain has completely redesigned the entire chassis. A feature of the rally version is a package of chassis frame and compact. This allows to integrate in a perfect way the central tank and rear, which is divided in two, giving the driver maximum freedom of movement whilst ensuring type enduro ergonomics and perfect balance. The extreme lightness of movement guaranteed by the hull in carbon fiber and Kevlar, aerodynamically optimized, with a special rear. The protection for the engine, carbon / Kevlar, with water tank integrated by three liters, ensures a broad protection of the engine and of the exhaust manifold.
Is the swingarm pivot still coaxial with the front sprocket shaft? I' ve heard rumors about the rejection of that feature in the Dakar version, though, watching the pictures, it seems to me that it is still coaxial.
