Merzouga Rally SS5 and last stage "Centaurus" 128 km
The big dunes of Merzouga were the theatre of the finish of the 5th and last stage of Merzouga Rally, 128 dunes of spectacular dunes and an hearth breaking view of a small pink lake with the dunes in the background.
An international podium crowned the success of the third edition of the Merzouga Rally with Polish Jacek Czachor firs overall, in front of Portuguese Pedro Bianchi Prata and Italian Maurizio Micheluz. Venezualan Nicolas Cardona and Portuguese Mario Patrao close the top five.

11times Portuguese TT Champion Mario Patrao won the stage in the rally category, while the Europen Enduro Champion Maurzio Micheluz won today’s stage in the Rally Lite category

Pedro Bianchi Prata (Por): “It’s my first podium on an African rally and I’m really satisfied of this result. It was not easy but despite some physical problems as I was not feeling 100% well. I kept my concentration and did well in every stage”.

The winners of the Rally Lite Desert Series, the trophy organized by EdoMossi for the Rally Lite category on 3 Rounds (Italy, Xrally Marrakech and Merzouga rally) were: Andrea Fesani, Mirco Miotto and Marco Gandini, who won respectiverly 5,000 euro, 3,500 euro and 1,500 euro) The Crew Culus-Adam won the SSV category in front of Abel-Carillero and Henrichy-Costa.
