WORLD CHAMPION
" World Champion I will be forever, but with the new year everything is reset . I'm the first to put pressure in 2013 because I wanted to win and now, because I want to repeat myself , "said Alex Salvini with frankness and honesty , but also with a greater awareness that the E2 class of the Enduro World Championship title , which lacked Italy no less than thirteen years old, is the result of hard training and a strong determination that drives him to always improve .
A season is built day after day, is a path, where the result is the culmination of the work of a group , where nothing is left to chance . On the track, Alex can count on a solid team led by Franco Mayr and Alexander Tramelli , the same who accompanied him to the title, and the support of Honda . Outside, Alex is joined by professionals to further enhance its preparation and face the season which kicks off in early March with the Absolute and 5 April with the first round of the World Championship in Spain .
CHECK UP
The new season started with a complete check-up . In mid-December Honda Europe has organized a test for the Honda riders involved in various disciplines such as Superbike , Supersport , Motocross, Endurance , TT and Enduro . Alex is so flew to London with his nutritionist Alessandro Magnani for a two-day test at the physical and postural Inglese Institute of Sport .
" Imagine 12 athletes, which together account for less than 8 world titles , meeting in the same gym ! It was interesting and fun at the same time . We were divided into 3 groups, I was with Max Nagl , Leon Haslam , Conor Cummins and TT legend John McGuinness. In the examinations related to lactic acid in stress with cycling are among the best result , as well as other evidence in the lower limbs, while they found me weak at the top. The test will be repeated later to see how we have progressed . "
TRAINING
" After more than a month to stop in January I started to ride a bike and started preparing with my new trainer, David Morelli. Last season I trained alone , but this year I decided to take it a step further , by availing the support of a professional. "
MOTO
The preparation in the gym alongside the hours on the bike that are the daily bread of Alex Salvini, who in mid-January has been training with the team in Sardinia. But the commitments have just started, in fact Alex has gone to Chile for ten days of training to be followed by participation in an international competition , the Copa ESEmar sexta , in Las Palmas de Ritoque ( Quintero ) Sunday, February 16th , which will challenge some 300 riders from Chile , South America and Europe.
"It ' a great opportunity to train in Chile, where the team has a home . We can take advantage of the good weather and also the type and condition of the soil, in a sense similar to those that will be in Spain and Portugal , the first two stages of the World Cup . EXPECTATIONS
