Giovanni Sala si aggiudica la prima tappa del Merzouga Rally Jaceck Chkzor - Orlen Team Merzouga Rally SS1 “Pegaso” 171 km di settore selettivo. Le grandi dune dell’Erg Chebbi hanno fatto da teatro all’arrivo della prima tappa del Merzouga Rally, una speciale varia che prevedeva una prima parte rapida su fondo duro fino al rifornimento nel villaggio di Taous ed una seconda nelle dune dell'Erg Chebbi, caratterizzata da una navigazione serrata in cui, oltre a godersi il meraviglioso paesaggio, occorreva prestare attenzione al road book e al CAP. La prima tappa, tecnica e navigata, ha fatto subito una selezione, con i piloti più esperti che si sono aggiudicati le prime posizioni.
